Today, our distilling process is based on extreme transparency and sustainability. For us, this means that not only the raw materials, production facilities, logistics and partners we use are following an ethical code, but it also dictates that we take 100% responsibility for the taste and feeling you experience with our products.

From a royal distillery to a family business
In 1852, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte enacted a new constitution in France, Britain’s Westminster palace was brand new and a young Russian named Leo Tolstoi published his first novel. For our family, 1852 is of particular importance because it is the year our great-great-great-grandfather Gustav Ranin started the family business by purchasing the Crown Distillery, founded in 1783 in the city of Kuopio, Finland. Gustav Ranin’s legacy lives strong on in our family. Ever since the day he took on the king’s distillery, from generation to generation, from father to son, we have learned through experience and increased our knowledge with the goal of creating the finest liqueurs and vodkas from Mother Nature’s arctic splendour.
Keeping our promise with each generation
Much advancement has been made over the course of centuries, and each generation has left its mark and added to our knowledge. But there is one thing that has never changed: our family’s promise to offer most authentic tastes of arctic.
